Coming to Tamagawa lab as a university student
In Tamagawa Laboratory, we accept students through the following three paths.
- Graduate school of Tokyo University of Science
- Junior Research Associate Program
- Student trainee
RIKEN is not an educational institution, so students will focus mainly on a high level research. It is a very demanding environment, but surrounded by researchers, it provides excellent opportunities understand understand what research is.
- Acquisition of fundamental academic skills and knowledge through seminars,
- knowing research frontier through paper reading sessions,
- Contribution to frontier research through participation in projects,
These three opportunities are the fundamental of the research education. We aim to cultivate individuals who think critically about physical phenomena, make judgments based on scientific reasoning, develop the ability to solve problems proactively, enhance communication skills through collaborative research with diverse individuals, and ultimately contribute to society as valuable professionals. Our goal is to foster researchers who are fully equipped and capable.
If you are interested in the study of astrophysics, we encourage you to consider joining the Tamagawa Laboratory. The doors of our laboratory are always open, so please feel free to contact us at your convenience. For students who are interested in conducting research at the Tamagawa Laboratory, we highly recommend visiting us for an observation session beforehand to determine whether the atmosphere aligns with your interests. We look forward to welcoming you!
